In January when I sell my Prelude I want to get an Accord maybe.. and of course shortly after Ill be getting a CBR600RR..
I want to know what to look for in an Accord? The best f22? my knowledge in f22 motors is very acute... I want a 5 speed so what models come in auto and which come in 5 speed? Just give me some ideas.. Thanks a bunch. All info is appreciated.

do you want a 4dr or 2dr? because a 5speed 4dr might be a little harder to find. Just check to see if it comes with vtec although vtec in accords is different than vtec in your prelude, for accords the vtec is more for used to improve fuel economy not exactly for performance.

I assume you're going to be looking at 5th gen accords 1994-1997. In that case I say 4 door f22b1 5spd. Yes the vtec is a little different then a h22, but you still go from 130 hp without vtec to 145 with vtec. If you're really lucky try to get a wagon, they are awesome. Then if you want to make some N/A power you can throw a f23 intake manifold on and a bisimoto stage 2 cam. If you're into boost, throw on a treadstone turbo kit, get the ecu chipped and run 12 lbs, or 8 lbs for dd. later you can always change internals in the head to run even more boost. You shouldn't have to touch the bottom end if everything is tuned properly and you're running under 18 lbs of boost. the f22 bottom end is very strong, steels sleeves ftw. Also lowering is a must with accords.

I honestly didn't know that the vtec for accord was more of an economy thing.. Now that I think about it being in Alex's accord and feeling his vtec compared to mine is a huge difference... is an f22 vtec dual stage like h22? In an h22 there are 8 valves and 4 are open all the time and 4 more right about those first 4 open up at 5.3k rpms..

and I wouldn't care if it was 4 or 2 door, but I do want 5 speed.. I just don't know which models are most likely to have 5 speed? like the EX do more Accord EX's have 5 speed than auto or visa verse?

I think there are less ex's with the 5spd because they're more on the luxury end. But you'll want the ex because its the only one with VTEC!

So basically I'll have to search my heart out because not that many EX's have 5 speed but the EX is the only one with vtec?

It's going to suck, but be well worth it in the long run. What about 6th Gen Accords? I'm either going 5th or 6th.. Any huge differences in the two?

Yeah I figured they would be a little heavier.. but I wasn't sure how much.. I don't know.. when that time comes I most likely will go with a 5th gen..
